Carla Bruni 'expecting twins' says French magazine

She all but confirmed rumours she was pregnant during a recent interview.

And although Carla Bruni-Sarkozy insists that her "lips are sealed" an appearance on Tuesday did nothing to counter speculation that she's expecting.

At the engagement, the wife of President Nicolas Sarkozy wore a loose fitting black coat.

Carla, 43, also placed her hands protectively over her stomach.

Meanwhile, French magazine Voici has stated: "We can now be a little more specific about the speculation that the first lady is pregnant. She is expecting twins."

The new arrival would be the couple's first child together.

She also has a nine-year-old son called Aurelien from a previous relationship.
