The holiday season is upon us once more and all over Britain those with a penchant for flexing their vocal muscles are availing themselves of the opportunity to show off their skills. Chart-topping teenager Joss Stone took centre stage in St Luke's Church on Monday afternoon as the annual Nordoff Robbins carol service was staged before a star-studded audience. Actors Rupert Everett and Tom Hollander were both among the famous faces enjoying the show, along with Strictly Come Dancing's Natasha Kaplinsky and TV presenter Fearne Cotton.

There was no question about who was the star of the evening, though, with the soul sensation from Dover giving a show-stopping performance. These are hectic days for the 18-year-old, as she is currently wowing audiences up and down the country on her latest UK tour. The chanteuse obviously hasn't been neglecting her four-legged friend, though, as she has also beaten off the challenge of a roll-call of A-list animal lovers to be named best celebrity dog owner by readers of pet magazines in the US.
