After weeks of sun, sea and sand, newlyweds Holly and Adam Ramsay Peaty are wrapping up their honeymoon. The couple – who tied the knot in Bath Abbey last December – started their trip at a luxury resort in Mauritius, before flying to Australia for their final days. Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Olympic champion Adam shared a series of snaps from their time on the Gold Coast in Queensland. "Down Under. Last part of our honeymoon in one of my favourite places on earth @hollyramsaypeaty - of course I had to train out here," he quipped in the caption.
Model and influencer Holly, who is the daughter of Gordon and Tana Ramsay, has been documenting their time away, too. On 29 January, the 26-year-old revealed that they'd enjoyed trips to the local markets, a private cooking class and plenty of sunbathing beside the crystalline shores of Mauritius. For Adam and Holly, their blissful honeymoon has granted them some physical distance from the Peaty family feud, which has been making headlines in the UK.
Just last week, Holly's parents, Gordon and Tana, addressed the "upsetting" situation after several key members of the Peaty family, bar Adam's sister Bethany, were noticeably absent from his wedding. Speaking to the Daily Mail ahead of the release of their new docuseries, Gordon and Tana were quizzed about the family feud, and they had some interesting things to say…
Gordon and Tana Ramsay's comments on the Peaty family's feud
Calling the Peaty family feud "upsetting", Gordon told the Daily Mail: "It's all self-inflicted from their side, because we've done nothing – none of what you've read: no rudeness, no ignorance – we welcomed them," he began. "We sent a chauffeur-driven car for them to come to the engagement party and treated them like royalty. So, to get that barrage of press was very hurtful. Tana took it very seriously."
"I would like to go up to Nottingham with Tana and see them and draw a line in the sand. It was Adam and Holly's wishes for them not to attend and so we had to respect that. There's stuff they need to sort out as parents. That's nothing to do with Tana and me," he continued. "But we are very mindful we want to move on and allow Holly and Adam to continue starting their lives together."
Chiming in, Tana added, "We've had fallouts within my family, there are no winners. I'm so grateful we got through mine and have happy relationships again. You don't have to be best friends, but be civil. You can't be happy when there's a fallout going on. It's really negative, and no one wants that."
