Donald Trump's family have often been his biggest supporters, whether they've followed him into the family businesses or played key roles in his political pursuits.
The family business began in the early 20th century by Donald's grandfather Fredreich, a hotel manager and real estate developer whose wife, Elisabeth, took over the portfolio of properties and land her late husband had purchased when he unexpectedly died in 1918. His son, Fred, helped his mother with the business, and over the next decade they built new homes and sold them, as well as brokering mortgages.
That business passed on to Donald, and he used his name to build the Trump brand into the Trump Organization, a multi-billion dollar industry that he still owns but is now run by three of his five children.
Donald was married to the late model Ivana Trump from 1977 to 1992, and they welcomed three children together. He then wed Marla Maples in 1993 and they had one baby together, with the pair divorcing in 1999. In 2005, the former Apprentice boss said 'I do' to Melania, and the couple also welcomed one child.
At 80, Donald is now the oldest-living President in American history, and the most controversial. Although his eldest children attend rallies and defend him in the press, many members of his family have taken staunch stances against him, particularly in terms of his politics, with his niece and nephew, Fred III and Mary, both writing books denouncing him.

Donald Trump's parents
Fred Trump
Donald Trump's father, Fred, was born on October 11, 1905, in the Bronx to German immigrant parents and went on to find major success in the real estate business started by his parents.
Fred began taking night classes in construction, carpentry, and plumbing, and by the 1920s, Fred had turned their company – now known as the Trump Organization – into one of the premier construction companies in New York City.
When the Great Depression hit in 1933, he purchased a mortgage company that had declared bankruptcy, and their properties, and sold them on for profit. He is built one of New York's first modern supermarkets, Trump Market, and in the post-war period, his property portfolio boomed across the city.
But he was not without controversy: Fred was arrested in 1927 at a Ku Klux Klan rally, and in the 1970s was accused of infringing the Fair Housing Act of 1968 by refusing to lease to black tenants.
He was also accused of windfall profiteering.
Famously, during his 2016 campaign for the presidency, Donald claimed his father gave him "a small loan of a million dollars," which he used to build "a company worth more than $10 billion."
This was examined and scrutinized by the New York Times, which revealed Fred had created 295 income streams for his son, meaning he was a millionaire by the age of eight. He received approximately $413 million from Fred's empire over his lifetime, including $60.7 million in loans, which were largely not reimbursed.
Mary Anne MacLeod Trump
Mary Anne MacLeod, born May 10, 1912, was one of 10 children born in Scotland, speaking Gaelic as her first language. She emigrated to the United States in 1930 and met Fred, already a property developer and builder, in the mid-1930s at a party.
She would go on to have five children, and after giving birth to her final baby reportedly had an emergency hysterectomy, which she barely survived. She became a United States citizen in 1942.
While much is known about her husband, less is known about what Mary was like as a parent, although over the past several decades, Donald has described her in interviews as "fantastic," "tremendous," "very warm," and "a homemaker."
Portrayed in this domestic light, Donald also mentioned in a 2005 episode of Martha Stewart's television show that Mary "used to do a great job" at meatloaf.
Donald's mother passed away on August 7, 2000, age 88, a year after her husband. She was buried alongside her husband and son (Fred Jr.) at Lutheran All Faiths Cemetery in Middle Village, Queens.
Donald Trump's kids
Donald Trump Jr.
Donald Trump's eldest son, Don Jr., was born on December 31, 1977, and he was 12 when his parents, Donald and Ivana, divorced due to his father's extramarital affair. It reportedly led to him being estranged from Don Sr. for a year, according to an account from Ivana.
In 2000, Don Jr. received his B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, and his net worth is now reported to be around $500 million as of 2026.
He is the Executive Vice President at his father’s company, the Trump Organization, and reportedly owns 7 percent of the Trump International Hotel. In May, he helped to close a deal to license a Trump golf course in Qatar.
However, he has largely raised his net worth through cryptocurrency projects, such as the "Official Trump" ($TRUMP) token, which the Trump Organization launched in January 2025, days before he was inaugurated.
Meme coins are highly speculative and volatile, relying on trading volume spikes, and $TRUMP opened with a market valuation of around $15 billion. A year on, it is now worth around $400 million, a dip of 97% that led to massive investor losses – but not for Trump, or his sons, as they never directly invested. Instead, they earned hundreds of millions in royalties; each time a $TRUMP meme coin was bought or sold, a 1% to 5% transfer fee was automatically routed to affiliated wallets – such as Trump's company – regardless of token price.
Trump and his family have faced repeated criticism of profiting off the presidency, however, Trump maintains that all dealings are completely legal because his sons, Eric and Don Jr, largely handle the business operations.
Along with Eric, the brothers co-own the crypto mining venture American Bitcoin and are stakeholders in World Liberty Financial.
Don Jr. is also a public speaker for hire and an author, who has written several books including Liberal Privilege: Joe Biden And The Democrats’ Defense Of The Indefensible.
Don Jr was married to Vanessa Haydon between 2005 and 2018, and the couple shares five children: Kai, 18, Donald III, 16, Tristan, 13, Spencer, 12, and Chloe, 11.
In 2020 he proposed to then-girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle but they later split, and in 2026 he wed Bettina Anderson.
Their wedding was "small, it was intimate, it was thoughtful, it was beautiful, not flashy," event planner Lewis Miller, founder of Lewis Miller Design, exclusively told HELLO!, noting the "top priority was that it didn't feel like a big, overproduced, big production."
Ivanka Trump
Donald's daughter Ivanka, born October 30, 1981, is a businesswoman and mom who married Jared Kushner in 2009. The pair share three children: Arabella, 15, Joseph, 12, and Theodore, 10.
Ivanka was a senior advisor to her father during his first presidency and, prior to this, ran her own successful fashion business. In 2023 she co-founded Planet Harvest with Melissa Ackerman, a profit-for-purpose company focused on private-sector innovations in food security and supply chain waste reduction.
Her net worth is rumoured to be around $100 million, with major investments in property such as a $30 million Miami Indian Creek Island home and a Manhattan penthouse. She divested from her Trump Organization stake in 202.
However, Ivanka has a combined worth with husband, Jared Kushner, of over $1 billion, thanks to his private equity firm, Affinity Partners, his real estate firm, Kushner Companies, and Middle Eastern backers.
Eric Trump
Eric, born January 6, 1984, is a businessman, activist, and former reality TV host.
Just like his older brother, his net worth is reported to be around of $350 million as he is also the executive vice president of his father's business, which he runs with Don Jr, has shares in Trump hotels, and is involved in $RUMP.
He is married to TV producer Lara Yunaska, and they share two children, Eric Jr., eight, and Carolina, six.
Tiffany Trump
Tiffany was born in Florida on October 13, 1993, and grew up in California with her mother, Marla Maples. Born two months before her parents married, she was named after the jewelry store Tiffany & Co., which stood next to Trump Tower on New York's Fifth Avenue.
She attended the University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 2016 with a Bachelor's degree in sociology, and in 2020, she was awarded a J.D. degree from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C.
Tiffany has been married to wealthy businessman Michael Boulos since 2022, and in May 2025, they welcomed their first child, son Alexander Trump Boulos.
She remains out of the spotlight, and Forbes estimates her net worth to be around $10 million, largely due to personal pursuits and family background.
Barron Trump
Donald married Slovenian model Melania in 2005, and the couple welcomed Barron, now 19, on March 20, 2006.
Barron is their only child together and is fluent in Slovene as well as English, thanks to a close bond with his late grandmother, Amalija Knavs, who passed away in January 2024.
"My mother was the epitome of love and warmth, and for Barron, a grandmother who filled every moment with joy and wisdom," Melania once shared. She made sure that Barron felt a strong connection to his Slovenian roots by sharing books and stories from our childhood. By preparing traditional Slovenian dishes, my mother filled our home with delicious aromas but also connected Barron to his heritage."
Barron lived with his parents in the White House during his father's first presidency, and is now attending a DC campus of New York University Stern School of Business.
Forbes reported that Barron boasts a net worth of about $150 million but it may hit over $500 million when the billions of crypto trades he owns finally unlock.
In 2024, Donald revealed Barron was the one to turn the family onto crypto.
"He's got four wallets or something, and I'm saying, 'What is a wallet?' " the president, 80, recalled.
Donald Trump's siblings
Maryanne
The eldest child of Fred and Mary's children, Maryanne became an American attorney and United States federal judge, working from 1983 to 2019 when she came under fire for alleged tax evasion.
She had one son from her first marriage, David William Desmond, who became a psychologist. She died in 2023.
Fred Jr.
Mary and Fred gave birth to Fred Jr., not long after Maryanne, who veered from the Trump family vocation and opted to be a pilot instead.
It led to him falling out of favor with his father, and he died aged 42 of a heart attack reportedly induced by alcoholism. Fred was survived by his son, Fred III, and daughter Mary, both of whom have written books critical of their uncle.
Elizabeth
Little is known about Donald's only living sibling, except that she married film producer James Grau in 1989 and worked as an administrative assistant at Chase Manhattan Bank before retiring to Florida.
Robert
The younger brother of Donald, born in 1948, Robert was a businessman and investor who spent his final year working for Trump Management before he died in 2020.
Donald said of his brother's death: "He was not just my brother, he was my best friend. He will be greatly missed, but we will meet again. His memory will live on in my heart forever."
