A previously unseen photograph of Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney, as a child, is due to go under the hammer.
The picture shows a young Paul engrossed in a comic as he is surrounded by classmates from Liverpool's Joseph Williams School in 1952.
After an unidentified woman handed it to The Beatles Shop, the photo will join over 300 other items of the band's memorabilia to be auctioned on August 29.
The sale, due to be held at the Paul McCartney Auditorium inside Liverpool's Institute of Performing Arts, is expected to attract thousands of fans from across the globe.
Among the items is a tea-stained lithograph of producer Sir George Martin's score for the song Yesterday, and a a class photograph of drummer Ringo Starr, aged eight.
