Prince Harry was handed a pair of skates during his visit to Nottingham on Wednesday. The 32-year-old headed to the National Ice Centre but shied away from trying them out on the ice during a meeting with youth sports coaches. "Wow, that's amazing," he said upon receiving his surprise.

Earlier on in the day, the royal appeared a little surprise when he was presented with a bag of Haribo sweets upon arrival. "How did you know I like them?" Harry asked the woman, called Irene Hartman. She told reporters that she met his parents, Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana, "several" years ago. She remembered how they said Harry liked Haribo.

Also during his trip to Nottingham Central Police Station, which will also be home to Nottingham City Council's Community Protection, Prince Harry was gifted with a single white rose in memory of his mother, Diana. Dr Alicia Osorio, 32, originally from Mexico City, revealed she told Harry she was gave his the pretty flower because his mother was an English rose.

The charming royal shared a joke with Inspector Paul Gummer at the opening of the new Nottingham Police and Nottingham Council station. The joint station will enable citizens to have access to a wide range of police and council services in one place.

He also attended a police briefing to learn bout the issues that are affecting people in Nottingham communities.

Moments later, the Prince swapped his navy suit for a more casual ensemble, wearing a blue button down and grey trousers as he departed Nottingham's new Central Police Station.

The fifth-in-line showed off his athletic side during his visit in support of Nottingham's Coach Core sporting apprenticeships.

Prince Harry asked if coaches needed to learn how to skate to teach the students. "I might just stand on the sidelines," he confessed. "It's the easiest way."

Harry's itinerary also included a trip to a recording studio at Nottingham's Russell Youth Club, the royal was seen joking around with Trevor Rose.

Harry met with young individuals at Full Effect. The royal first visited the community radio station, which aims to reduce in violence, back in 2013.
