The Prince and Princess of Wales are among the many royals who make their way to Sandringham during the Christmas holidays to spend time at the Norfolk estate.
Throughout the year, the family often receive messages from fans wishing them well for special occasions, and the royals are often known to respond with their own messages. On Saturday, the Duchess of Wonderland Instagram account revealed they had been sent such a message from William and Kate, after the fan account sent the royal couple a Christmas message.
In response, William and Kate shared a photo of the pair alongside children Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, seven, and Prince Louis, four, as they headed to church on Christmas Day.
Alongside the photo, a message from the pair read: "Thank you for your thoughtful Christmas message to The Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
"Their Royal Highnesses are very grateful and send you their best wishes for a very Happy New Year."
The Wales' appearance at Sandringham last year was very poignant for the family, as not only was it their first since the death of the Queen, but it was also Louis' first time partaking in the family tradition.
The royal tradition began in 1988 when Windsor Castle was being rewired, and one of the highlights has always been the Christmas Day walkabout before the church service. Traditionally, children only attended the service when they were a little older. Prince William was aged five and Prince Harry was aged seven when they first went. However, William and Kate took Charlotte along when she was a toddler.

Then three years later, the young royal siblings joined their parents at the Christmas Day service in Sandringham.

During the Platinum Jubilee, Louis charmed the nation with his hilarious antics. While his older brother and sister were on their best behaviour, the event was all too exciting for the young royal.
But at Sandringham, the four-year-old Prince was on his best behaviour, holding his mum's hand while keeping warm in a very thick coat.
