Robert Pattinson named sexiest man in the world

British actor Robert Pattinson has been voted the world's sexiest man in a magazine poll of over 2,000 women.

The 23-year-old, who plays brooding vampire Edward Cullen opposite actress Kristen Stewart in hit movie Twilight, pipped numerous Hollywood hunks to first place.

Johnny Depp was placed second while Hugh Jackman came third.   Also in top ten were David Beckham, Chace Crawford and Justin Timberlake.

But the new label may not impress actor Robert, who has previously said he ignores the sex symbol label he has received.

"The hottest actor stuff doesn't really mean anything - you have a month maybe with all this heat and hype," he says.
