Enchanted star Amy Adams expecting first baby

US actress Amy Adams is pregnant with her first child, the star's rep has confirmed.

The actress, who is currently promoting her latest flick Julie & Julia across the globe, has been engaged to long-term boyfriend Darren Legallo, since July 2008.

The couple, who have been together for seven years, met during an acting class in 2001.

And although it's come as a surprise for the pair, having a baby was always in their plans.

"I probably won't have a big family. I can barely manage my own life! But I do want to have a family," the actress recently said.

It's all go for Amy, whose next film, Leap Year, is due to hit the screens on January 8.
