Angelina learns secret handshake from Somalian kids

She frequently travels around the globe to help raise awareness of refugees in her role as Goodwill Ambassador for the UN's Refugee Agency.

This week she bonded with local children in a camp situated on the Kenya-Somali border.

A group of youngsters took time to teach the Hollywood actress the ins and outs of their complex handshake.

"These sweet little kids have nothing and yet they had fun teaching her the complicated handshake, which has loads of different grips," Angelina's fellow worker reveals.

The mum-of-six spent the day visiting the dangerously crowded camp, which she said was "one of the most dire" she has seen in her eight-year stint with the UNHCR.

The Dadaab settlement, on the Kenyan-Somali border, was opened in 1991 to house up to 90,000 people, but the population is now 285,000 – and growing by as much as 7,000 people a month.

"The Somali families I met today are full of warmth and affection," said Brad Pitt's partner.

"I wish more people could meet them, then they would have a stronger desire to help."
