Blonde bombshell Pamela Anderson is all made up about her latest charity gig after having teamed up with cosmetics firm MAC in an effort to raise money to fight Aids.
The voluptuous actress was looking her usual glamorous self when she was introduced as the new face of the company's "Viva Glam" lipstick on Thursday. Proceeds from the product go directly to the firm's charitable foundation, which campaigns to raise awareness of the importance of HIV testing.
"I feel privileged and empowered," said Pammie at the launch in Manhattan. "After being diagnosed with hepatitis C, I knew the importance of knowing your status. Only then can you make informed and wise decisions for your health and life."
The mum-of-two follows in some esteemed company, with past faces of Viva Glam including Missy Elliott, Linda Evangelista, Chloe Sevigny and Christina Aguilera. "We chose Pamela not only because she is a highly recognisable pop culture icon, but because she is so passionate about raising awareness about HIV/Aids and encouraging people to get tested," said chairman John Demsey. |
