The honeymoon has barely ended, but Eminem's marriage to wife Kimberly Mathers appears to be over already, just 82 days after the childhood sweethearts tied the knot for the second time. The announcement that the rapper has filed for divorce will shock guests who attended their romantic nuptials in January.



Family and friends, including 50 Cent, were invited to witness the 33-year-old star's wedding to Kim whom he described as his "best friend, the one I laugh with, live for, love".

The volatile couple initially split two years after exchanging vows in June 1999 and a bitter custody battle for their ten-year-old daughter Hailie ensued.

Then in December they seemed to have kissed and made up. Last night a spokesman for the rapper's mum Debbie Mathers called news of Eminem's divorce petition "a complete surprise".

A few weeks ago, however, his grandmother 66-year-old Betty Kresin was predicting the relationship wouldn't last.
