The Luna Cinema, the UK's number 1 open air cinema is back, and has announced its biggest season ever – with 150 screenings across the country at some of the most iconic and beautiful backdrops.
For the very first time, The Tower of London has granted permission for outdoor cinema screenings, exclusively to The Luna Cinema. Audiences will sit in the moat of one of London's most dramatic and iconic landmarks to catch films including Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Gladiator and Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet. Other new venues for the season include Kenwood House, Blenheim Palace and Harewood House.
Highlights include Jaws at Hastings Pier, Harry Potter at Alnwick Castle (the original Hogwarts), Labrynth at Kew Gardens, Titanic at Brockwell Lido and Spectre at Blenheim Palace (a location from the film). Enjoy classics including Pretty Woman, Mean Girls, Top Gun, Jurassic Park, The Princess Bride, Casablanca, Notting Hill and Die Hard or watch Star Wars: The Force Awakens under the stars – the perfect setting for the most successful film of all time and where previously the franchise was restricted to indoor venues.
With Royal Palaces, botanical gardens, racecourses, medieval castles and even an open air swimming pool, you can enjoy outdoor cinema at fantastic venues all across the UK from May until October.
Take loved ones, enjoy a picnic and pull up a blanket for a fantastic summer season of film. Premium tickets are available at all screenings, which as standard include a branded director’s chair (in prime position in the arena) for the evening, a drink at the Luna Bar and a goody bag.
