Robert Redford's Sundance Resort

7 JANUARY 2004
Guests can choose from studios, suites and mountain lodges with natural wood interiors and Native American furnishings, which range from small and cosy to vast and luxurious.

There's an award-winning rustic-feel restaurant within the resort called The Tree Room which serves seasonal mountain cuisine. Lit by candlelight in the evenings, it also serves as an informal gallery displaying Native American art from Redford´s private collection.

Over at the spa, where organic products are the order of the day, guests can be pampered with massages and treatments to soothe the body and soul, or they can attend a yoga class or burn off some calories in the exercise room.

During the winter, the renowned ski slopes beckon, while non-skiers can sample one of the resort´s Art Shack workshops teaching jewellery making, pottery, painting or photography. If you book a stay in January, you can even rub shoulders with the stars – and maybe even the man himself – at the Sundance Film Festival, which Redford created to show the best in independent American and international cinema.
