The world is mourning Ozzy Osbourne today. The legendary singer died last week at the age of 76 after a battle with Parkinson's disease. He was laid to rest in his hometown of Birmingham today. His fans lined the streets, wearing black leather and holding flowers, as the heavy metal icon's family paid their respects.

Ozzy is survived by his wife Sharon Osbourne, 72, and his six children Kelly Osbourne, 40, Aimee Osbourne, 41, Jack Osbourne, 39, Jessica Starshine Osbourne, 53, Louis Osbourne, 50, and Elliot Kingsley, 59. The Black Sabbath singer's son, Jack, was emotional as he arrived at the funeral. He was seen hugging his sister Kelly and comforting his daughter as the family walked towards the memorial.

Jack is the dad to four young daughters, Pearl, 13, Andie, 10, Minnie, seven, and Maple, three, all of whom attended their grandfather's funeral. He shares his oldest three daughters with his ex-wife, Lisa Stelly. The couple divorced in 2019. Two years later, Jack got engaged to his now wife, Aree Gearhart, who he shares his youngest daughter with.

The young dad was very close to Ozzy. Jack explained in a 2018 interview with PEOPLE that he and Ozzy had different parenting styles.

"I'm a little more structured with my kids than my parents were with me," he said. "Like, I won't take them out of school just to go travel. We do a little bit, but I think structure is healthy."

During the reality show on the History Channel, Ozzy & Jack's World Detour, Jack's oldest daughter Pearl made regular cameos. During one episode, Ozzy and Jack took her on a camping trip.

"She loves the outdoors, so she takes after me a little bit," Jack told PEOPLE. "I take her camping as much as I can and take her outdoors."

Pearl is similar to her grandpa. "She loves being scared," Jack explained. "So she really likes Halloween."

Ozzy, known to his fans as the Prince of Darkness, leaned into gothic musical themes and wore all black. In 2016, Ozzy told NME, "When people get excited about Halloween coming around each year, all I can think is, 'Well, [Black Sabbath] used to have Halloween every night."

Both Jack and Kelly remember their dad for being a wonderful grandparent. Kelly told PEOPLE in 2024 about how much her son Sidney, two, loved visiting his grandparents' house.

"They are the best," she said. "Every time I go over there, my mom bought him a new little outfit or something and my dad just adores him, thinks he's the coolest guy ever. And they have a really, really sweet relationship."

Kelly continued: "He loves all my dad's hats, and so the first thing he wants to do when he gets to my parents' house is run into the kitchen and sit on my dad's lap."
