Health: As well as delivering plant-based nutrients, avocados offer the right amount and combination of dietary fats, including the monounsaturated fatty acid oleic acid.

Top tip: If the smoothie is too thick for you, add a little cold water to thin it out.

Ingredients - SERVES 2

1 avocado
¼ pineapple
4 mint leaves
Juice of ½ lime
2 Granny Smith apples, cored

Method

Simply put all the ingredients into a jug blender and whizz until really smooth. This smoothie is best drunk straightaway but keeps for 24 hours in the fridge.
