Lady Frederick Windsor on raising children in the digital age
Sophie Winkleman has opened up about the complexities of raising children in the digital age. The royal and actress, who shares two daughters with her husband Lord Frederick Windsor, stars in the BBC's Wild Cherry. The six-part drama follows two mothers whose daughters are best friends – until a scandal at school forces them to choose sides.
"I think the show highlights brilliantly what a horror film we're letting our young teens stumble into: being online 24/7, winding up their classmates into frenzies, meeting all sorts of crazy strangers," says Sophie, who campaigns against smartphones, social media and constant screen use in the classroom for children – something that Prince William recently revealed had become a "tense issue" in his own household.

Prince William and Princess Kate will attend the Royal Variety Performance
It's been confirmed that the Prince and Princess of Wales will attend the Royal Variety Performance at the Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday 19th November.

In 2024, the Charity set up a dedicated team to assist those in entertainment who are in need of help and support because of mental health issues.
Princess Beatrice marks World Prematurity Day with her own personal experience
Monday 17 November marks World Prematurity Day, and Princess Beatrice has appeared on a podcast in support of a patronage close to her heart.
The royal, 37, became patron of the premature birth research charity Borne in March, after welcoming her second daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose, who was born several weeks premature on 22 January. Fronting a campaign for World Prematurity Day, Beatrice told Professor Mark Johnson on The Borne Podcast: "I think so often, especially as mums, we spend our lives feeling we have to be perfect to do this. And sometimes, when you are faced with that moment of learning that your baby's going to come a bit early, it can be incredibly lonely."

Prince William and Princess Kate's photographer reveals secret to 'relaxed' family portrait
Josh Shinner, the photographer behind the Prince and Princess of Wales's 2023 family Christmas card, has opened up about the secret to a perfect photo. As opposed to past portraits, which have seen the royal family outside in nature, Josh's black and white portrait of the Wales family was shot inside and against a plain backdrop.
Speaking to The Telegraph, he said: "If you can make people feel at ease, they can open up, which creates a better picture. Otherwise, you're effectively just doing a passport picture where someone stands still and someone else presses a button; there's no feeling in that."

According to a new annual financial report, King Charles has donated £50,000 from his own funds to repair a church beloved by his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II. The monarch made a hefty donation to help fix the roof of the Grade II church, which is located on the Royal Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.

Stepping out for a public engagement at his Poundbury model village in Dorset on the same day the happy news was announced, Charles was asked what his thoughts were. "Obviously thrilled," he said, before quipping: "They've been practising long enough."

A significant royal photograph is set to go on display later this week. The exhibit My Life In Objects, which will take place at Bonhams in London on 18 November, will showcase some of the belongings of Lady Glenconner, who was a childhood friend of The Queen and the former lady-in-waiting of Princess Margaret.

The late Queen's complement for Princess Kate
The Princess of Wales had a close relationship with Queen Elizabeth II and now we're taking a look back at their bond.
In particular, the one complement the late monarch would always give her grandson's wife. In 2023, the Duke of Sussex recalled his wife Meghan's meeting with his father in his memoir, Spare.
He wrote: "Meg looked beautiful and I told her so. She was wearing a black-and-white dress, with a full skirt, patterned with flowers, and when I put my hand on her back, I could feel how delicate the material was. Her hair was down, because I suggested she wear it that way. Pa likes it when women wear their hair down. Granny too. She often commented on 'Kate's beautiful mane.'"
Prince Andrew breaks cover
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been pictured for the first time since King Charlesremoved his titles last month.
The former Duke of York, 65, was photographed riding his horse in the grounds of Windsor Castle earlier today. The father of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie wore a khaki coat with riding trousers and a black helmet as he was joined by a female groom.
He was spotted at the top of the Long Walk, close to the gates of the Castle, during the morning ride.

Prince George at the heart of new royal era: the new face of the monarchy
All eyes were on the 12-year-old boy standing beside his mother at the Royal Albert Hall for the Festival of Remembrance. Prince George joined the Princess of Wales and his grandfather the King, surrounded by the weight of history and the comfort of continuity. His father, the Prince of Wales, was returning from Brazil after the Cop30 summit and his Earthshot Prize awards ceremony. The young prince sang God Save the King with a clear, confident voice. He stood straight, alert, absorbing every detail. A child, yes, but already measured and aware. In that still moment, he embodied both innocence and inheritance – the promise of a future in formation. Read more of what Robert Jobson has to say here.
Princess Kate and Prince William's 'forever home' costs 59 times the average UK property
The Prince and Princess of Wales' home got quite the upgrade when they moved from Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor Home Park estate to Forest Lodge in October 2025. The family of five (the couple and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis) went from their four-bedroom candy pink home to the eight-bedroom sprawling property, which has a staggering net worth. Forest Lodge is estimated to be worth a mind-blowing £16 million. According to the GOV.UK website, the average property in the UK in 2025 is valued at £269,000 – meaning the royal couple's home is worth 59.4 times that. Read more here.

The future Queen's powerful message
During her speech, Kate highlighted love as the number one thing that "fundamentally shapes who we become and how we thrive as adults."
"My passion and the work of The Centre for Early Childhood stems from one essential truth; that the love we feel in our earliest years fundamentally shapes who we become and how we thrive as adults. Love is the first and most essential bond. But it is also the invisible thread, woven with time, attention and tenderness, through consistent, nurturing relationships which creates the grounded and meaningful environments around a child," she said. Kate continued: "It is this texture, the weave of love, which forms a child’s emotional world and becomes the foundation, the very fabric of resilience and belonging. The home should be the space where love, safety and rhythm enable a child to thrive. A loving home ultimately teaches us how to love and how to care, but every environment has the potential to shape our hearts."
