Amazon's October Prime Day 2026 is happening right now, and ends at midnight on 7 October. As ever, it's a shopping marathon and with Christmas coming, you might want to take advantage of some of the best sales you can find on site right now because there are some great deals to be had.

What is Amazon Prime Day?
Prime Day has traditionally been a 48-hour sales extravaganza offering discounts on hundreds of products from big brands like Apple, Shark and Ninja plus huge deals on everything from fashion and beauty to home and garden. Now there are two big Prime deal events in a year - one in July and one in October. The October event lasts for two days which is the perfect amount of time to score some major discounts, whether you're waiting for a big ticket buy or hoping to save on your daily needs.

Do I need an Amazon Prime Membership to get the Amazon Prime Day deals?
In short, yes. Customers who haven’t yet joined Prime can sign up now or begin a free trial at Amazon Prime (click here for US) to unlock access to exclusive savings, and benefit from fast, free delivery on millions of products. You need to be an Amazon Prime Member to get access to the specific Prime Day deals, though you don't necessarily need to pay. You can sign up to a 30-day free trial, which can be cancelled anytime thereafter. After the trial runs out it’s £8.99 / $14.99 a month. I also like to highlight deals for non-Prime Members, too, so no one misses out. Young adults aged 18-22 can become a Prime member and enjoy all the same benefits for half the price at £4.49 per month or £47.49 a year, which also gives them access to exclusive discounts on thousands of textbooks, clothing, travel, accessories and more.
