Prince William's London home where royal relative was born
Before the Prince and Princess of Wales moved to Adelaide Cottage, the couple's primary London residence was Apartment 1A in Kensington Palace.
The four-storey home, which is misleadingly labelled an apartment, features 20 rooms as well as a long royal history as William's great aunt Princess Margaret spent several decades at the property.
Royal visits to Papua New Guinea and Japan announced
The Duke of Edinburgh is set to visit Papua New Guinea in September to attend celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of Papua New Guinea's independence from Australia.
During his stay from Sunday 14 to Wednesday 17, Prince Edward will attend a dawn flag-raising ceremony and a State Dinner. He'll also, on behalf of the King, present new Regimental Colours to the First Royal Pacific Islands Regiment and confer 50th Independence Anniversary King’s Medals, awarded to individuals who have made significant contributions to Papua New Guinea.
The Duke will also visit the new National Court Complex and meet communities in Port Moresby.
It's set to be a busy month for Prince Edward as he'll be heading to Japan later in the month with his wife, the Duchess of Edinburgh. The royal couple will visit the East Asian country from Thursday, 18 September to Monday, 22 September 2025, in celebration of the strong bilateral relationship between the UK and Japan.
In Osaka and Tokyo, the Duke and Duchess will undertake engagements on themes which resonate in both countries, including youth opportunity, sustainability and innovation, educating the next generation, and women in leadership. They'll also visit the UK and Japanese Pavilions at EXPO 2025, Osaka, Kansai.
Queen Camilla reveals ongoing battle at her private home
The Queen opened up about battling a swarm of wasps at King Charles's Norfolk estate, Sandringham, which she says has become a "terrible" nuisance.
Camilla spoke of the issue during the second day of the Ebor Festival of horse racing in York.
Princess Kate, style icon

Meghan Markle's 'clever concealment' of Prince Archie pregnancy
Did you know that The Duchess of Sussex attended Princess Eugenie's wedding to Jack Brooksbank just days before she announced she was pregnant with her first child, Prince Archie?
To conceal her pregnancy, Meghan wore an elegant coat dress by Givenchy – the fashion label which designed her own wedding dress earlier that year.
"At the time, she hadn't yet shared her pregnancy news with the world, but the styling choices she made reveal just how considered her approach was as she was able to conceal her bump without compromising her classic style," Angela Kyte, luxury stylist, tells us. Find out what else she said here.
Danish royals' summer tour
Queen Mary and King Frederik have a busy, exciting week ahead of them.
The Danish royals will board the Royal Yacht Dannebrog for a late summer cruise from 25 to 28 August, which will see them start their trip at the Frederikshavn Municipality on the island of Jutland.
The yacht will then stop at Thisted Municipality on 26 August and Læsø Municipality on 27 August.
The summer cruise will conclude with a visit to Samsø Municipality on 28 August.
Did Archie inspire Harry and Meghan's Netflix venture?
A family pastime appears to have inspired Prince Harry and Meghan for one of their upcoming Netflix projects.
The Sussexes are producers on the documentary-short film called Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within, which will air on the platform later this year.
Filmed in Uganda's Maska region, it will tell the story one-of-a-kind community where orphaned children have become YouTube sensations thanks to their viral dance routines.
And it's been revealed that the group came to Harry and Meghan's attention when they watched their viral dance moves during lockdown with Archie!

King Charles selling a £475 bonnet
From this week, a hat named the Highgrove Visor, inspired by the "timeless silhouette of the bonnet", will be on sale at the King's country estate in Gloucestershire.
Created by award-winning milliner Emily Hurst – one of the first graduates of the Chanel and The King's Foundation's millinery fellowship – was specially commissioned to produce the chic straw headwear, with just 15 limited edition pieces in the world.

Looks like Princess Charlotte may have nailed her own signature hairstyle, at the ripe old age of 10.
