Ainhoa Barcelona

Having joined HELLO! in 2013 as a digital intern, Ainhoa Barcelona has held various roles at the company, including Deputy Online Editor, Acting Website Editor, Content Managing Editor, and currently Royal Managing Editor.

Ainhoa joined at an incredibly exciting time when Prince William and Kate's first child Prince George was due to be born. This was her first foray into royal reporting and since then, she has covered many major royal events, with a highlight being broadcasting live from Facebook's studios in Windsor for Prince Harry and Meghan's wedding in 2018, receiving over 2 million views for one video. She was also interviewed live on Australian radio about Pippa Middleton's wedding the year before.

In Ainhoa's current role, she manages royal content across the HELLO! brand, from print and digital to podcast and social media. She also helps run The HELLO! Royal Club on Substack, a dedicated space for HELLO!'s most fervent royal fans who have access to exclusive interviews from the people who know the royal family best.

In her previous roles at HELLO!, Ainhoa has interviewed celebrities and attended red carpet premieres, TV junkets, and show launches. She also helped launch aspects of HELLO!'s premium content, including Digital Issues and Digital Covers.

Ainhoa was born and raised in London but has lived in France and Ecuador as part of her BA Honours degree from the University of Bristol. While writing for the student paper and local publications, she realised she wanted to pursue magazine journalism so completed a Postgraduate Diploma in London. Prior to HELLO!, she had work published in Town & Country and Lonely Planet Traveller.
