GWEN AND GAVIN KICK BACK IN L.A. TO AWAIT BABY

18 APRIL 2006

As her due date nears Gwen Stefani has been chilling out in the California sunshine. After a busy few years the singer is taking it easy stateside as she prepares to welcome her first child. She and her husband, British rocker, Gavin Rossdale, have recently been spotted watching the tennis at the Pacific Life Open and also strolling along the beach.

Then on Sunday, the couple were snapped popping in to see her parents for a family gathering.

A radiant Gwen arrived for the visit in a full-length, orange kaftan-style outfit. As the exuberant blonde - who has a sister and two brothers, including her former No Doubt colleague Eric - got out of the car a group of relatives came out into the garden of the one-storey home to greet her.

The 36-year-old singer recently revealed that the baby, expected in early June, is a girl. According to friends, Gavin is every bit as excited as his wife about the little one.

The ex-Bush frontman has been supporting Gwen every step of the way as her bump burgeons. "He's been looking through all the books Gwen has, reading up on the different stages and finding out how the baby's growing," a friend revealed. "It's brought them so much closer."
