Adele set to make storming comeback at the Brit Awards

Three months after surgery to cure a voice-threatening condition, Adele is making her comeback.

She's up for three gongs at the Brit Awards, including best album and best single for Someone Like You.

The 23-year-old songstress will also go head-to-head with Jessie J, who attended the nominations bash sporting a sheer purple dress and tumbling new hair extensions.

Adele herself was not present as the nominations were announced, but will make a highly anticipated return to the stage on the UK music's big night.

It'll be her first performance since an operation in the US last year to repair a vocal cord. 

Recently pictured glowing with health, Adele is just one of the acts expected to take next month's awards bash by storm. 

 

 

Baby-faced crooner Ed Sheeran could also sweep the board. The 20-year-old star – who burst onto the music scene in 2011 with hit song The A-Team – has four nominations. 

Jessie, Florence + The Machine and Coldplay have several nominations each. 

The Brits will be held at London's O2 Arena on February 21.
