Highlights from the victory parade

Meanwhile, Lucy Bronze admitted she "doesn't remember" the celebration party after winning the Euros. When asked how the party was, she simply said: "Don't remember."

A more touching moment saw Captain Leah Williamson holding back tears as she gave an emotional speech on stage. "I'm holding back tears. I've been crying all down The Mall," said the Arsenal defender.

"There are many ways to win a football match. And we always chose the tough one."

She added: "Everything we do, obviously, we do it for us and our team, but we do it for the country, for the young girls. This job never existed 30-40 years ago and we're making history every single step."

Finally, Princess Beatrice made an appearance at the parade and was spotted in the crowd with her husband Edoardo Mozzi, their two children, Sienna and Athena, and Edo's son from a previous relationship, Christopher.

A source who was present tells HELLO!: "George was the star of the room. He was engrossed in conversation with many of the veterans, who were delighted to speak to him as well. He was enjoying it, hearing about guns and submarines and tanks."
