To celebrate Balthazar London's fifth anniversary, the restaurant is serving up its very special afternoon tea. The experience wouldn't be complete without the inimitable scones, the mouth-watering homemade sandwich selection, which includes the favourite lobster prawn roll, and Régis's cakes. Showstoppers include the Gooseberry O'clock, the Queen of Tarts and the Golden Bombe.
London Cocktail Week
Clear your plans for next week; the world's biggest cocktail festival is back, and you need to be part of it - cocktail connoisseur or not. Your £10 ticket will give you access to £6 tipples in some of London's best bars and there will be several cocktail categories to pick from; think twisted classics and truly unique mixes.
More than 250 bars are taking part too, including the likes of Searcys at the Gherkin, The Ned and Aqua Shard, with certain bars hosting special events across the seven day extravaganza. There's also going to be a Cocktail Village hub in Old Spitalfields market, but you'll need to splash out an extra £5 to get in there.
Located beside Buckingham Palace, the majestic Taj 51 Buckingham Gate hotel is celebrating London Cocktail Week in true royal fashion. Launching just before the event, the hotel is introducing its new royal-inspired cocktail menu, with each tipple named after a member of the royal family. The Queen's Tea is a sophisticated mix of strawberries, Langley's Gin, Chambord and cream, garnished with a miniature scone, while the Prince Henry of Wales is a zesty blend of rum and ginger, capturing Prince Harry's cheeky nature. Goodbye Christopher Robin
Margot Robbie and Domhnall Gleeson star in this bittersweet story about English author A. A. Milne, who famously created the Winnie-the-Pooh series. The film follows the couple's child, Billy Moon, better known as Christopher Robin, and the world's overwhelming fascination towards the little boy as he becomes a central character in his father's books. Kelly Macdonald plays a convincing role as Christopher Robin's nanny, while rising star Will Tilston steals hearts with his endearing performance.
