The photogenic pair swept into the city from his Lake Como retreat earlier this week, arriving by water taxi in what seemed like a scene from one of the 48-year-old's movies.

It was the first truly public outing for the couple, who had until recently taken their meals at George's home, where the chef was instructed to fire up the wood-fire oven for homemade pizzas.

Meanwhile much of their free time has been spent lounging by the pool in the actor's secluded garden or on his boat.
