Chinese New Year falls on Saturday 28 January and celebrations around the UK are being held. Hutong, the fine dining Chinese restaurant located on level 33 of The Shard, is serving a special Double Happiness four-course set menu.
Dishes will include the traditional Lo Hei mixed raw seafood salad, Shanghai wonton in a chicken broth, Jasmine tea roasted chicken, crispy de-boned lamb ribs and spiced minced pork.
Diners can also indulge in the selection of specially designed 'Cockerel-tails', created by Hutong's bar team, to mark the year of the Rooster.
And you won't be able to miss the traditional lion dance, as well as the Chinese musicians and noise-makers, who will ring in the new year!
The menu is priced at £88, eight being considered the luckiest number in Chinese tradition.
Step into the magical Outside In House, a true indoor-outdoor oasis in the middle of London featuring a woodland reception, an indoor greenhouse-cum-dining room, a garden bedroom and a herb garden kitchen.
Located at 4 Dingley Place, Clerkenwell, the green abode has been unveiled by Airbnb and Pantone and is open to guests from Friday to Monday.
A lucky few can book overnight stays, but for the rest, ticketed events are also on offer. A tai chi and tea class, a gin-making session and a wallpaper painting workshop are among the Airbnb 'Experiences'.
From Sunday, visitors to Foley's restaurant in London will be treated to a very special tasting session, Off Menu.
Head chef Mitz Vora and his team will serve a six-course menu to a select number of guests, who will be welcomed by a candle lit reception before heading to the secluded downstairs area of the restaurant.
The menu will be themed around Asia and the Middle East, and change as the weeks go by.
The intimate tasting sessions will take place on Sundays with limited spaces - so book ahead!
