Nichola Murphy

As HELLO!'s Lifestyle Editor, I am responsible for overseeing the content strategy for the website's lifestyle verticals, including Fashion, Beauty, Health and Fitness, Parenting, Travel, Food, Homes and Weddings.

It marks a full circle moment for me! After graduating with a History degree from the University of Kent, I spent several years working in B2B journalism in Australia. Seeking a new challenge (and the home comforts of the UK), I was thrilled to join HELLO! as a Lifestyle Writer in 2019, where I covered all lifestyle topics. I quickly found my niche as the Weddings Editor, where I helped achieve a 119 per cent increase in UK users in just one year, and later spoke on the Powerful PR panel at the Guides for Brides' UK Weddings Conference in 2024.

Since late 2022, my focus has expanded, and after serving as Deputy Lifestyle Editor, I now manage the lifestyle team, commission features, and organise exclusive interviews. In my role as Lifestyle Editor, I also help navigate breaking news such as Queen Elizabeth II's death and Princess Martha Louise's wedding, and continue to support the Website Editor.

When I'm not working, you can find me enjoying a Reformer Pilates class, playing tag rugby, exploring London's dynamic food scene, or mapping out my next trip (only for temporary holidays, not a permanent move like last time!)
