FELIPE AND LETZIA PREPARE FOR PARENTHOOD

1 AUGUST 2005

Click here to send this news item to a friend Though they're regular summer visitors on the Spanish island of Majorca, Crown Prince Felipe of Spain and his pregnant wife Crown Princess Letizia have at least one brand new activity on this year's holiday agenda – shopping for baby clothes.

Stopping to chat with the occasional well-wisher, the royal couple held hands as they wandered through a cobblestone retail district on the Balearic isle. And as they enjoyed a bit of window shopping, Felipe and Letizia couldn't resist going into a popular children's store to browse the baby merchandise.

There was more baby news in Spain at the weekend, as ex-King Constantine's daughter Alexia of Greece and her husband Carlos Morales welcomed their third child at a Barcelona clinic. The little boy, who has two sisters, Arrietta and Ana-María, weighed just over eight pounds and is named after his father.
