The Chelsea player dropped in on The X Factor auditions in Birmingham during his glam wife's lunch break armed with a bunch of lilies, and a blue balloon. Her husband of three years then whisked the singer away for a birthday lunch.
Returning with a huge smile on her face, she was followed into the audition venue by a blonde assistant - who was carrying a birthday cake in the shape of a white puppy.
Last year Ashley joined the Girls Aloud beauty when she was filming the TV talent search in Manchester.
The gesture came just six months after reports that Ashley had been unfaithful surfaced in the UK press. In a magazine interview this year Cheryl called the stories "horrendous", but said she had moved on.
"I know what I'm doing. I've had enough knocks in the past to know what the circumstances are, and I'm happy. If other people aren't, then that's their problem," said the pretty brunette.
