Aussie pop princess Kylie Minogue is to take the rest of the year off in the hope of starting a family with her on-off boyfriend James Gooding, according to reports. Thirty-four-year-old Kylie has told friends she feels her body clock is ticking and that she wants a baby as soon as possible.

Kylie and James split up in May after two turbulent years together, but were reconciled a month later and last month the singer cancelled a US tour saying she wanted to concentrate more on her personal life. Kylie – whose previous boyfriends include Jason Donovan, Michael Hutchence and Lenny Kravitz – had blamed the split in May on the rejuvenation of her career, which was largely due to the worldwide success of her single Can’t Get You Out Of My Head.

James was initially reluctant to follow Kylie around when she was preoccupied with her concerts, but this week it was revealed that he would be flying out to join her on the last leg of her Australian tour. Now the 26-year-old model’s friends say he and Kylie are back together; that they are deeply in love and will be trying for a child as soon as her work commitments are completed next month.

One confidant told Britain’s Daily Express: “Although people think they broke up because James’s roving eye, the real reason was that Kylie did not have time to be a proper girlfriend. The split really shook Kylie up and she has decided to put her career on hold for a bit to give her personal life a chance.

“She knows that if she wants children she has to start thinking about it now. James is the only man she wants to have babies with and Kylie is aware that she will lose her chance.”
