Lloyd Daniels voted off 'X Factor' while Jedward play first post-show gig

hellomagazine.com The X Factor journey is over for teenage heart-throb Lloyd Daniels. The Welsh singer exited Simon Cowell's TV show on Sunday after the departing act was chosen solely by the public vote.

"I've had a lot of criticism, but I've enjoyed every minute as well," said the 16-year-old, who sang Elton John's I'm Still Standing and Take That's A Million Love Songs on the Saturday night show.

The results show the following evening featured a performance from Umbrella singer Rihanna, who said she was impressed with the remaining contestants, considering the pressure they're under.

"It's scary for them, especially knowing how many people are watching," says the 21-year-old star. "It's the biggest show and a lot of pressure for someone who just came from their little home."

While Lloyd prepared to go back to Wales, former contestants John and Edward Grimes showed there is life after X Factor, playing their first post-exit gigs at the weekend.

The Irish twins – aka Jedward – were greeted by hordes of screaming fans as they played London's G.A.Y.

And the 18-year-olds, who Simon said couldn't sing, also played T4's Stars Of 2009 concert alongside Calvin Harris, who gatecrashed one of their X factor performances holding a pineapple on his head.
