No one could accuse brewing heiress Daphne Guinness of being a fade-into-the-background type of gal. The glamorous mum-of-three, who is known as one of the capital's most flamboyant dressers, wowed fashionistas when she arrived at a recent charity event in a stunning Oriental-style creation. The richly-embroidered red and gold silk affair helped the pretty blonde make light work of stealing the show from her fellow beauties at Ralph Lauren's Bond Street store. "I like the really show-offy pieces," she confessed. "I always do."

Given that she is a fashion journalist by trade one might expect her to know a thing or two about looking good, and Daphne's certainly not scared of ringing the changes. She's as at home in zippered black jacket and hipster jeans as she is in the multicoloured silk trench coat she wore to a benefit bash in 2004. The ubiquitous reporter's ability to surpass her media peers was recognised earlier this year when she joined the likes of Kate Moss and Sienna Miller on one fashion bible's "best dressed" list.
